Problems of wood floor in practical use

2019-12-16

1. Uneven ground will make part of the floor and keel suspended, and make a noise when trampling.

2. The moisture content of the wood keel without drying is usually about 25%, while the moisture content of the qualified wood floor is generally 12%. If the humidity difference is too high, the wood floor will absorb moisture quickly, resulting in the floor arching and the paint surface bursting. During the construction, first lay the floor, and then carry out other construction on the floor, which is the common practice of the decoration team at present. But in this way, after the floor is laid, it often takes a month or even longer to polish and paint. During this period, no isolation measures have been taken for the moisture and chemicals between the floor and the surrounding environment, which is likely to cause the wood floor to deform and crack due to the rapid change of moisture content.

3. With the change of environment temperature and humidity, the assembled wood floor will expand or contract. Therefore, when laying the floor, the assembly tightness of the wood floor should be reasonably arranged according to the ambient temperature and humidity of the place of use. If it is too loose, the floor will shrink to a large gap. If it is too tight, the floor will arch when it expands.

4. In the construction of the fixed way of driving wedge and iron nail, the fixed way of driving wedge and iron nail will cause the insufficient nail holding force due to the small contact surface between the wedge and iron nail, which is very easy to cause the wood keel to loosen and the noise will appear when stepping on the floor.
